Research Triangle
Raleigh is part of North Carolina's Research Triangle (RTP), which was established in the 1950's and is currently one of the largest and most successful research parks in the country, as well as a major center for high-tech jobs and biotech research. The three universities that anchor the Research Triangle are Raleigh's NC State, Duke University in Durham, and UNC located in Chapel Hill.
The RTP includes over 7,000 acres, 250 businesses, and 50,000 employees and is a thriving hub of innovation. Industries include biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, clean technology, and information technology.

Points of interest in Raleigh include the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences, one of the Southeast's largest natural history museums, and the North Carolina Museum of Art offering a permanent collection spanning more than 5,000 years.
