Fort Liberty is a major United States Army installation, covering over 251 square miles (650 km2) in Cumberland, Hoke, Harnett and Moore counties, North Carolina. The largest city near Fort Liberty is Fayetteville but there are resort communities such as Pinehurst, Aberdeen, and Southern Pines as well as many small towns including Hope Mills, Raeford, Spring Lake, and Lillington. Fort Liberty is known as the home of the US Army airborne forces and Special Forces, as well as U.S. Army Forces Command and U.S. Army Reserve Command.

Fort Liberty contributes about $4.5 billion a year into the region's economy, making it one of the best retail markets in the country.

The Fort Liberty area of North Carolina includes the state’s 6th largest city of Fayetteville which is home to numerous historic sites, eight museums, three colleges and universities, multiple entertainment venues, a historic downtown area, and award-winning golf courses.
