Pinehurst and Southern Pines, nicknamed ‘Horse Country’, make up a majority of Moore County. With some of the best horse farms and training grounds throughout the country, it has gained national recognition and is arguably considered to be an equestrian mecca. Pinehurst sits along the Carolina Sandhills where the footing is the quickest to dry after rain and one of the easiest for horses to work on every day. This has been the makeup that has attracted a large, distinguished concentration of horse enthusiasts and world class horsemen from all over the world to call this place home.
