Sierra Blackwell was born in Durham, NC in 2000 - where she spent her entire childhood and where her love of the arts was discovered. She received her Bachelor's and Master's degree from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro in Accounting (much to her loved ones surprise) - with fine art always kept as a beloved hobby and passion. Her career path in finance is what led her to find her current position at McKee Homes and has now been part of the McKee Family since November 2023. Growing up just a couple of streets over form the McKee Community "The View", she is honored to be showcased among fellow Durham artists, as well as to serve as a representative of McKee HOmes in her hometown.
Project No Rest is a statewide project to increase awareness and prevention around human trafficking and how it affects our children and young people in North Carolina. Partnering with The UNC School of Social Work, the goal is to shine a light into the shadow that is human trafficking and reduce the number of youth trafficked while improving the lives of those affected by trafficking.
