Around five years ago, I began experimenting with tie-dye, upcycling second-hand cotton, linen, and denim. Self-taught through social media and collaborations, I explored various techniques to create unique pieces. After transitioning from corporate life to retirement, I expanded my tie dye clothing business to tie-dying fabrics used to create wall art and vases art. Fabric is tie dyed into unique colors and designs and stretched over frames, vases and resin pieces. Cecy’s Gallery in Durham, NC, now showcases my collection, “2Dye4,” with an exhibition from June 1st to September 28th, 2024.
