Raleigh is one of the best places to live according to U.S. News & World Report’s latest “Best Places to Live”. The Triangle, which includes Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill, has recently jumped to the number two spot for best places to live in the U.S.
According to a recent roofstock.com article, “Raleigh is one of the cities where STEM (science, technology, education, mathematics) jobs are on the rise, according to a recent story in USA Today. In fact, Raleigh beats out traditional high-tech powerhouse cities such as San Francisco and Boston for STEM job creation, biotech, and high-tech employment.”
Many tech giants are now moving to the Raleigh Triangle area including Google, Apple and SingleStore bringing thousands of high-paying tech jobs and increasing the prosperity of the region.
The region’s real estate and housing markets are also near the top of the national charts. Not only for larger metro areas like Raleigh and Charlotte but also for Wilmington, which is one of the area’s most popular coastal cities.
Raleigh also ranks among the best real estate markets to buy a home, according to WalletHub. Their rankings are based on key criteria such as activity in the marketplace, housing affordability, and strength of the local economy.
With the job and housing markets raking near the nation’s top cities, it makes sense that Raleigh and other North Carolina metro areas are seeing growth near the top of the scale as well.
Raleigh ranked 3rd and Charlotte 7th for the nations fastest-growing large metro areas in a Carolina Demography publication from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2019.
Raleigh has plenty to offer from world-class universities, museums, music, parks as well as a booming economy, one of the best real estate markets in the country and new high-paying tech jobs coming to area in droves. With all it has to offer, it makes sense that Raleigh is one of the best places to live in the U.S.
