McKee Homes uses low maintenance vinyl siding, shakes and trim on all our Heritage Series homes. Our Autograph Series homes come with painted fiber cement siding and trim.
Most of our homes offer a mix of lap siding, shakes and board and batten along with trim, accessories and accents to make the exterior design more interesting and enhance the beauty of the home.
Advantages of vinyl siding, shakes and trim:
Our Heritage Series vinyl siding is .042″ thick, has a light roughsawn texture and a rolled nail hem for increased rigidity. There are many attractive color choices available for selection by homebuyers.
AN ECO-FRIENDLY CHOICE
As a sustainable product with a long service life, vinyl siding is environmentally responsible in several ways. In addition to conserving wood and other natural resources often used for building materials, vinyl siding helps reduce the deposit of paint, stain and maintenance-related materials into the environment because it never needs to be painted.
Unlike wood or cement board siding, which need to be painted every so often, vinyl siding only needs to be washed with mild soap and water. Most vinyl siding can be pressure washed to save time. While some homeowners prefer to hire a professional to pressure wash their home, others prefer to rent a pressure washer and do it themselves. However it’s not necessary to use a pressure washer to clean vinyl siding. A garden house and nylon brush will work just fine to keep vinyl siding looking like new.
