Golf Courses

The first golf course at Pinehurst Resort was laid out in 1897-1898. The first championship held at Pinehurst was United North and South Amateur Championship of 1901. The best known course, Pinehurst No. 2, was designed by Donald Ross and completed in 1907. The resort now has eight golf courses, three hotels, a spa, and extensive sports and leisure facilities.

McKee homes has three communities in the Pinehurst, Aberdeen, and Southern Pines area with access to some of the best golf courses in the country. This area also offers easy access to the Fort Bragg West gates.

Pinehurst hosted the 2014 U.S. Open and U.S. Women’s Open Championships in back-to-back weeks, marking the first time in history that both tournaments were played in the same year, on the same course.
