The 2012 Walk to End Alzheimer’s in Fayetteville, N.C. was a huge success, raising over $40,000 to support Alzheimer’s Association® initiatives, which include Alzheimer’s care and research, and raising awareness of this devastating disease.
The Fayetteville Walk has become an annual event and is hosted and sponsored by McKee Homes. For the past two years, the Walk has been held at The Cottages at North Ramsey, which is a maintenance-free housing community in northeast Fayetteville near Fort Bragg, and the local offices of McKee Homes.

The McKee’s kids, Lily, Max, Carly, and Graham raised an additional $150 by making and giving away duct tape wallets, purses, bracelets, flowers, koozies and coasters to anyone that made a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association®.
McKee Homes would like to give a special thank-you to the Pine Forest High School marching band and football team for supporting the event; Century 21 Family Realty and Team Elite for showing the open houses along the Walk; and the Fayetteville area Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts for volunteering. A heartfelt thanks goes out to all those who volunteered and participated in the Walk this year and helped make the 2012 Walk to End Alzheimer’s a tremendous success.
