From 1990 to 2007, Mr. McKee was employed in various sales and management capacities with a Fortune 100 Company that specializes in building construction, renovation and maintenance. During that time he was the Business Director responsible for building construction, renovation and facility maintenance for the Company’s fastest growing and most profitable Division that included 16 aftermarket automotive battery manufacturing plants. Specific responsibilities included the creation, staffing and management of a team to address the Division’s growing needs for construction and maintenance. The team under Mr. McKee’s leadership was responsible for all facets of development, construction and renovation of various manufacturing plants.
From 2007 to present Mr. McKee has been a Developer and Home Builder in the Fayetteville, NC market. Specifically, he is responsible for developing & building one of Fayetteville’s most successful communities The Cottages at North Ramsey. He is also a 1990 graduate of North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. In addition, he holds an Unlimited General Contractor's License in the State of North Carolina.
Mr Mckee was elected to the Home Builders Association of Fayetteville Board of Directors in 2013 and inducted as President of the FHBA in 2016.
Mr. McKee & his wife Julie Russo and their 4 kids reside in Raleigh, NC. They are active supporters of the NC State Wolfpack.
From 1984 to 2008, Mr. McKee held various positions with both public and privately held technology manufacturing companies. He has founded and managed several manufacturing, service, construction, and investment companies, along with managing several large multi-national development projects for a multi-billion dollar publicly traded corporation. Since 2008, Mr. McKee has been an active investor and developer of commercial and residential properties.
Mr. McKee is a resident of the greater Chicago area, and was inducted into the Chicago Area Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame in 2008. He holds a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from Rose Hulman Institute of Technology.
Mr. McKee and his wife of 22 years are blessed with four wonderful children.
Julie Russo is a co-owner of McKee Homes, which was formed in 2010 by Pat and his brother, Mike McKee. In 2012, she left the teaching profession to help Pat with the day-to-day management of the company. Since then, she has taken on many different roles from Director of Sales and Marketing to Vice President of Human Resources. Regardless of her role, Julie’s main focus has been the development of a strong company culture, based on three ideas: Passionate, Professional and Performance. Julie oversees The Joe McKee Memorial Alzheimer’s Fund, which was established in 2010 and is funded by a portion of every home sold. Although McKee Homes works with several nonprofit organizations, Julie’s main focus continues to be the Alzheimer’s Association.
Julie has not let go of her passion for educating the young students of North Carolina. She continues to work with NC State and volunteers at local elementary schools, where she focuses primarily on elementary mathematics. She has developed a system, which fosters the importance of reading comprehension when solving a math word problem, which she calls "Structures of Equality".
Julie and Pat have four busy, beautiful children at home. The family enjoys the beach and traveling together whenever they have the opportunity.
VP, Business & People Optimization
Prior to becoming a leadership consultant, Bill operated in executive positions for top-flight real estate and consumer goods companies for 25 years. During that time he learned that most corporate strategy and organizational change does not fail because it is poorly conceived; it fails because the organization is unable to execute. His consulting practice focuses on assisting clients in engaging their people's energy, commitment and focus on getting results.tightly bolting strategy to implementation.
Bill specializes in organizational change execution, talent acquisition and executive development and coaching. Formerly, he was the principal owner of the largest real estate Executive Search and Business Consulting firm in the US.
Prior positions in the real estate industry included Sr. VP Organizational Development at K. Hovnanian Enterprises, and SVP of Human Resources at Pulte Homes. His work in the consumer goods industry included VP of Human Resources positions for Bell & Howell and Bausch & Lomb respectively.
Bill also is a keynote speaker at national trade shows and contributes as a blogger and columnist for Pro Builder magazine.
Bill is a graduate of Temple University. He is an associate expert in organizational development with Lominger, the preeminent provider of research-based, experience-tested, leadership assessment and development tools.
Mr. McKee managed programs and divisions for Union Carbide Corporation for over 35 years in various positions around the globe. Notable contributions include his position as General Manager and Member of the Board of Directors for Chemical Division for Union Carbide do Brazil, Ltda., and Litigation Coordinator for multiple hazardous events in India.
Mr. McKee also served in the US Air Force during the Korean War. He was recognized with a Korean Service Medal, two Bronze Service Stars, a United Nations Service Medal, a National Defense Service Medal, a Presidential Unit Citation, and a Good Conduct Medal.
Mr. McKee graduated from the University of Alabama, Magna Cum Laude, with a BS in Chemical Engineering. He was also a member of the Million Dollar Marching Band at the University of Alabama. He later earned his Masters in Chemical Engineering from West Virginia University.
Joe Marsena McKee passed away in April 2010 from complications of Alzheimer’s Disease. He is survived by a loving wife, two sons, two daughters in law, and eight grandchildren.
McKee Homes, LLC is dedicated to Joe McKee’s love for the home building business. He built many personal homes over his life and had always dreamed of becoming a Home Builder. His two sons Pat and Mike are carrying out that dream.
Finance and Accounting
Director of Finance and Accounting
Matt joined our team in October 2015 as the Director of Finance and Accounting. Prior to McKee Homes, he spent 15 years at PulteGroup and most recently was Vice President and Controller for Silverado Custom Homes based in Rochester, Michigan.
Matt is a graduate of Texas A&M University and received a BBA in Business Analysis/Operations Management. In addition to spending time with his wife (Louise) and two daughters (Abigail and Charlotte), he enjoys playing tennis, golf, fishing and running.
D’Andra Bennett is the Bookkeeper for McKee Homes. She was born and raised in Fayetteville, NC and is an ambitious, family oriented and fun-loving person. Graduating from Methodist University with a bachelors in Mathematics has strengthened D'Andra's love of numbers and driven her to pursue an MBA concentrated in Finance. Her interests include singing, dancing, reading and spending time with her wonderful 3 year old son, Donovan.
Director of Purchasing
Tish joined the McKee Homes team as our Director of Purchasing in March of 2014. She brings over 19 years of home building experience to McKee: 3-1/2 years as Purchasing Manager for Toll Brothers and 15 years at John Wieland as Operations and Purchasing Manager. Finding resource solutions is what drives Tish; she truly enjoys the dynamic construction process of combining various people and products to give the best value to our home buyers.
Tish is a native of North Carolina; she has a BA from East Carolina, and has studied rhetoric at the graduate level at NC State.
Pre Construction Manager
As Pre Construction Manager, Geoff currently oversees tasks related to Architecture, Engineering, budgeting and starts. He also does the estimating and orders/reviews truss plans. Finally, Geoff assists with land development and acquisition. Geoff's professional experience includes 40 years in real estate development and single family/multi-family home construction. Geoff's resume includes Purchasing Manager, Project Manager, Construction Manager and Vice President of Construction for national builders. Geoff has been married to his wonderful wife, Terry for 20 years. They enjoy the beach, movies, dining out and spending time with their granddaughters.
Samantha majored in Education before beginning her Accounting Degree. While working on her Bachelor’s she worked at various jobs including as a substitute teacher and a bank teller. She finished her Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting at the University of Phoenix. Afterwards she finished her Master’s in Accounting where she received the honor of being induced into the Delta Mu Delta International Business Society. She has future plans of becoming a CPA and contributing to the IFRS debate. She also loves to travel and has several family members who live overseas.
Stephanie was born and raised in Fayetteville, NC. She received her bachelor’s degree in Accounting with a minor in finance. Prior to working for McKee Homes, Stephanie worked with military transportation. In her free time, she enjoys traveling with her husband, Justin, and their two pit bulls. She also enjoys painting, kayaking, and cheering on the Denver Broncos!
Ashley has lived in Fayetteville more than half her life. She has made a home with her husband, Zachary, and her Russell terrier, Buster. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Christian ministries with concentrations in counseling and children’s ministry. While earning her degree, she worked a number of jobs including substitute teacher, university librarian, and administrative assistant. After graduating from college, she worked as the Administrative Assistant to the CEO of Building Blocks Early Education Centers. She also serves as Children’s Ministry Director at the Lakes Community Church in Sanford, NC. Ashley loves coffee, reading, and spending time with her family.
Director of Sales and Marketing
Jason Janssen is the Director of Sales and Marketing for McKee Homes. He is a sales professional with eighteen years’ experience in direct sales, managing corporate sales & training programs, and directing marketing programs. During the last decade he has served in an executive sales management role for three top ten home builders in the United States. He currently creates, implements and administers the overall sales and marketing efforts for McKee Homes throughout the state.
New Home Specialist
Jayne is a liscensed REALTOR and was a member of Coldwell Banker Team Elite whle living in the Fayetteville area. After moving to the DC area, Jayne began working for McKee Homes remotely and is now our Online Sales Counselor.
Jayne is our lead website live chat operator, answers many of our Fayetteville area sales calls, and manages all McKee online leads.
New Home Specialist
Tracy joins our team with more than 10 year in the hospitality industry. She started out as a desk clerk/night auditor, and worked her way up to General Manager at Fairfield Inn in Lumberton and Fayetteville as well as a key management position at Courtyard Fayetteville. Tracy enjoys helping people, making customer service one of her strong points. Tracy also worked as a transaction coordinator for a Realtor learning every aspect of real estate transactions. For McKee, Tracy works with lead data and follow-up, closing data input and homeowner communication, as well as working directly with real estate agents. She is also one of our website live chat operators.
Tracy is a native of Fayetteville and is the proud mother of two teenage daughters.
New Home Specialist
Melissa bought a McKee home in October 2013, the Beaufort floor plan! She has now joined the McKee online sales team as an online sales consultant after working as Kristi Bennett's assistant in Oakmont greeting potential new homeowners for the community.
Before taking that job, she worked in the public school system with kindergarteners for three years and with special needs middle school aged children for two-and-a-half years. She is married with one child, and in her spare time likes to spend time with them, and read books. Melissa also volunteers time at her daughter's school when school is in session.
New Home Sales Consultant
Prior to becoming an employee of McKee Homes Kristi worked for Fonville Morisey Barefoot as on-site sales agent representing McKee Homes in two neighborhoods. Before joining FMB and moving to the Sandhills area, Kristi enjoyed a successful career with Berkshire Hathaway Homeservices Realty in the Triad area and was recognized as part of their Honor Society which represents the top 13% of sales agents nationally. Kristi was also the Chair of the Young Professional’s Network for her local Realtor Association. Kristi’s success is rooted in providing exceptional customer service, she spent the better part of her career before selling real estate in the hospitality industry and has worked for several 5 star resorts and hotels. Her energy, knowledge and her love for the homebuilding and real estate industry is felt and appreciated by her homeowners, fellow REALTORS and peers. Kristi lives in Southern Pines and likes to spend time off doing something outdoors with her boyfriend and their dog.
New Home Sales Consultant
Trica joined McKee Homes as a New Home Advisor in March 2016 after relocating from the Wilmington, N.C. area with her husband. She brings more than nine years of sales, marketing, and customer service experience with her. She graduated with a B.A. in Chemistry, & B.S. in Health Science from Ferrum College and a M.A. in Management and Leadership from Liberty University. Trica came from a sales background in retail, vacation ownership, and primarily pharmaceutical sales, where she was consistently a top sales rep from 2011-2015. Trica is a former college softball player and former assistant college softball coach. She still holds records for career homeruns and batting titles from her Alma Mater. In her free time, she enjoys karaoke, CrossFit, fishing, and spending time with her husband, and two dogs.

Erica joins the McKee team after working as a licensed real estate agent with more than 8 years experience in the Moore County area. Her love for real estate and new construction brought her to McKee Homes as a New Home Specialist. She is knowledgeable in the community, schools and the recreational activities Moore County has to offer. Erica enjoys assisting buyers in purchasing their dream home and goes above and beyond to make it a wonderful experience. She specializes in military relocation with clear communication from abroad. Erica and her husband, Mark, a retired First Sergeant, reside in Moore County with their 4 children.
New Home Sales Consultant
Danielle is originally from Massachusetts and has a BS degree in Legal Studies. She became a Realtor after having her home built three years ago. Danielle joined the McKee family in 2016 and absolutely loves everything about new construction. She says "It is amazing to see the excitement of watching your dream home be created from a homesite to closing with keys in your hand!"
Danielle is a wife and mom to four boys. In her spare time she enjoys being with her family, watching baseball and the beach.
New Home Sales Consultant
Jason Blanchard joins our team as the New Home Sales Consultant in River Glen. He brings with him over 25 years of experience in sales. In his spare time, he enjoys taking walks at the many trails in Fayetteville.
New Home Sales Consultant
Before Gail got into Real estate she was the onsite fitness director for G.E. Plastics. She also worked in Cardiology as a Cardiac Rehab Therapist. Gail began her RE career in 1996 working as an onsite sales consultant for a custom homes builder in NY as well as starting the first New Home Construction division for Coldwell Banker. Gail also did some Land Acquisition and became a troubleshooter for new home builders. She attended the Institute of Residential Marketing in Virginia and received the IRM I, II and III certificate. She was president of The Sales and Marketing Council and represented the New Home Builders and remodelers association. Gail was a member of the National Association of Homebuilders and attended several NAHB conferences and trade shows with her builder. In 2005 Gail started her own real estate brokerage. She taught English in Rome Italy for a year and returned to Sarasota Florida and worked for Coldwell Banker until deciding to reside in Wilmington NC.
New Home Sales Consultant
Matthew joins McKee Homes with 9 years of experience in sales, customer service, and construction. A native of Western Massachusetts, Matthew received his Bachelors from Pepperdine University (Malibu, CA) and his Masters from the University of Cincinnati (Ohio) before relocating to North Carolina with his wife Michelle. They now live in Apex with their two daughters, Eliza (4 years) and Vivienne (10 months). In his free time (of which there is very little), Matthew enjoys reading, piano, guitar, volleyball and disc golf. The rest of the time Matthew spends as the devoted father of two little princesses.
New Home Sales Consultant
Brad is a Real Estate Sales Professional with over 15 years of experience in the industry ranging from being the Owner / Managing Broker of his own firm, serving as a District Director and Broker in Charge for a national firm and being a Top Producer for one of the nation's largest building companies.
During his time off, Brad enjoys surfing, scuba diving and boating with his two children Addison and Will.
Sales and Closing Administrator
Jennifer is our new Production Coordinator as of Sept. 2014. Jenn monitors and manages all McKee Homes production and closings to ensure that all transactions close smoothly and on time.
Jennifer joined the McKee Homes team in August 2013 after relocating from Wasilla, Alaska where she worked as an administrative and customer care consultant at a custom home building company. Prior to living in Alaska Jennifer lived in Honolulu, Hawaii where she worked in public relations and marketing.
Amy joined the McKee Homes team as the Selections Coordinator in June 2013. As the Selections Coordinator she helps buyers with all exterior and interior selections for their home. Amy graduated Summa Cum Laude from Mount Olive College with her Bachelor's degree in Business Management. Amy and her husband are also proud homeowners of a McKee Home.
Wilmington Selections Coordinator
Lara Jimerson serves as our Wilmington Selections Coordinator. She has a Degree in Interior Design from Iowa State University. She has lived in Wilmington for the last 10 years, working in management for Pier 1 Imports. She enjoys the beach, tennis, biking, reading, HGTV & Pinterest!
Online Marketing Manager
John joined the team at McKee Homes after working in the digital services division of a local Fayetteville advertising agency and running his own marketing and web development business for over 10 years.
John manages all of our online marketing efforts including our company website, live chat, sales call center, photography, video, online and content marketing.
Charmaine joined McKee Homes in August 2012 after relocating from Wichita, Kan. with her husband. She brings more than four years of communication, marketing, and community involvement experience with her. She graduated with a B.A. in Communications from Wichita State University and a M.A. in Management and Leadership from Webster University. Charmaine has a wide spectrum of responsibilities at McKee Homes that include marketing, human resources, office management as well as various other responsibilities. In her free time, she enjoys KU basketball, cooking, and spending time with her husband, son and dog.
Director of Construction
Growing up around the construction industry, Kevin was introduced to the business through hands on experience. He began his career in the Syracuse area practicing all areas of the trade. After attending college in Rochester, NY, Kevin continued to work in the central New York area until he relocated to North Carolina in 1993. Before joining McKee Homes in August 2014, Kevin was an integral part of the growth and success of several national and local homebuilders in Charlotte, NC. During his 25-year tenure, Kevin has worked as area manager, project manager, senior project manager and vice president of construction.
Kevin has been married to his wife, Marybeth, for 22 years and together they have two sons, Jack, 17, and Ty, 16. Along with spending time with his family, Kevin also enjoys boating, football and hunting.
Dave has 12 years construction/project management experience. He has worked for one of the largest Builders in the country.
Dave is married with 2 children. He enjoys Chicago Bears Football and music.
Lee joined McKee Homes as a Project Manager in November 2013. Prior to coming to McKee Homes, Lee owned his own homebuilding and drywall company that operated in Wake and Johnston County, NC for over 20 years. He spends his spare time volunteering in his local community as a leader in the local Pop Warner football program he began in 2006 as well as an assistant for the South Johnston High School football team. Lee is an avid Dallas Cowboys and NCSU fan as well as a music lover. Lee and his wife, Michelle, have two children— Ashley 23 and Tyler 21.
Kenny Jones, Jr. is a project manager for McKee Homes and is currently living in Wilmington, NC with his wife, two daughters and a dog named Oakley. He has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, which he acquired at Methodist University in 1990. He is a former financial analyst and has been in the housing and land development industry since 2003. Kenny has successfully managed communities in Wake Forest, Raleigh, and Knightdale. When he is not working, he enjoys focusing on his health and fitness, music, vintage cars and fishing.
Shane graduated Campbell University with a degree in Trust management and also received an MBA in business. He grew up the son of a contractor and spent many weekends and summers working in residential and commercial construction. Upon graduating he pursued his passion for project management, and worked for a reputable custom builder out of Raleigh for almost 10 years building in Holly Springs. He also holds a NC contractor license since 2007. Shane is married to his beautiful wife Heather going on 10 years, and has 2 boys Cole and Colin, ages 7 and 5. Shane and his family love to saltwater fish, golf and many other outdoor activities.
Tom Denney joins McKee Homes as an assistant builder in the Fayetteville area. He is a graduate of Portland State University where he has a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Geology. He has over 15 years of commercial and residential construction experience where he has managed and performed as a supplier, installer, and project manager. He is new to the North Carolina Market and has implemented these roles in Portland, OR, Pittsburgh, Pa, and Chicago, IL. He is a strong believer in quality and safety. Tom is also a proud veteran of the United States Army Reserve where he served as a Civil Affairs NCO during a deployment to Eastern Africa. When not at work, Tom is most likely enjoying the outdoors and supporting the local music scene.
Mark joins as a Builder. He has been in the construction industry for close to 20 years. He has worked for two of the top 10 builders in the US, building single family, town homes and multifamily apartments. He is married to his wife Barbara and has two sons, Brandon and Michael. Mark is an NC State alumni. In his free time, he enjoys fishing and the beach. His favorite team is the Washington Redskins.
Chris grew up in a family of Builder's and knew from a young age that he to wanted to be a builder. He puts this passion and pride into every home he builds. In the fall of 2016, Chris will graduate from Western Carolina University with a Master's degree in construction management. In his free time, Chris enjoys being outside and spending time with his beautiful wife Jennifer and his amazing son Triston.
Chris is originally from Louisiana and served in the United States Marine Corps for four years. He was a Construction Project Manager for three years and has been in residential construction for approximately seven years.
In his free time Chris enjoys firearms and spending time with his two sons.
William has been in the construction trade for around 30 years. He has a BS in management from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
In his spare time William loves to fish and spend time with his toes in the sand and a beer in his hand.
Customer Service Manager
Mark graduated from James Madison University with a degree in Business Management. He has over 13 years of residential and commercial building experience in both North Carolina and Florida while working for himself and for a Fortune 500 Company. He has been married for nearly 20 years with three children: Emma 12, Savannah 11 and William 8. When not working, he enjoys being an active coach in his children’s sporting activities and working on special projects around the house.
Customer Service Technician
Billy attended North Carolina State University for Electrical and Computer Engineering from 2006-2010, has worked for IBM as a Hardware Test Engineer and at Cisco as a Voice Over IP (VoIP) support technician and has put his IT career on pause while exploring other career options. Billy joined McKee Homes in 2016 after working in the warranty department with Stevens Fine Homes in 2015.
Billy says "In my leisure I enjoy a good story through books and movies/T.V. Shows, playing and listening to music - primarily play guitar and occasionally, when the instruments are around, some drums, keyboard, trumpet, and bass guitar, and "messing with computers" to include video games, minor programming, and providing free tech support - especially for small businesses that I frequent. I also follow college football and basketball. GO PACK!!!"
